Adopt Aspen the Northern Saw-whet Owl
$35.00
Description
Aspen came to Hawks Aloft as an adult with a left shoulder-girdle injury in January of 2015. He was found scurrying around on the ground at a ski slope near the East Mountains. He got his name when his rescuers perched him on an aspen branch in his rescue box as they transported him to safety. Aspen cannot fly due to his injury and has also developed a seizure condition since his arrival at Hawks Aloft. He has recently fully retired and is no longer attending education programs, but still has that aspen branch with him in his mews!
